Florida surf fest aims for family-oriented crowd


Seems times have changed for the crowd gathering in Cocoa Beach for the 44th Annual Easter Surfing Festival today through Sunday.

A story in the Orlando Sentinel notes how the event, which had its origins as a four-day rager for baked hippie surfers, has transformed into a family-friendly bash that has something for everyone.

It's now recognized as one of the largest, oldest and most diverse surfing events on the East Coast.
